Ronald D. Gunden has over two decades
of advancement experience. He joined GGTS
in 2000. Prior to joining Gonser
Gerber Tinker Stuhr, he was Vice President for
Seminary Relations and Development at McCormick Theological
Seminary, Chicago, Illinois. He was responsible for all
aspects of constituency relations, public relations, and
development, including a $25 million comprehensive campaign.
He previously served at Goshen College, Goshen, Indiana
as Director of the Uncommon Cause, which was a $48 million
campaign that was successfully completed with commitments
of $50.7 million. He served as Director of College Relations
and, before that, Associate Director of College Relations,
also at Goshen College. He held additional leadership
positions with Elkhart County Council on Aging, Mennonite
Board of Missions, and Youth Village, all in Elkhart,
Indiana. |

Consulting service areas include building major gift programs,
annual, capital, and planned giving-programs, Board development,
strategic planning, communications, and working with volunteers.
Current and previous clients include colleges, seminaries,
schools, social service organizations, and religious orders.
Mr. Gunden received his B.A. degree in social welfare from
Goshen College and his masters degree in social work from
California State University, Fresno. He did additional graduate
studies in administration at the University of Notre Dame.
He is active in several professional organizations, including
the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, Association
of Fundraising Professionals (formerly National Society of
Fundraising Executives), Association of Healthcare Philanthropy,
and the Chicago Council on Planned Giving. His past volunteer
work includes service on the Elkhart City Board of School
Trustees, membership in the Elkhart Rotary Club, and service
as Stewardship Commission chair for the Southside Mennonite
Fellowship.
