Salvatore F. Polizzotto joined Gonser
Gerber Tinker Stuhr in 1981 and was elected partner
in 1984. Prior to joining the firm, he was Vice President
of the University of Wisconsin Foundation, Madison,
Wisconsin, responsible for establishing a national program
of funding from foundations and corporations. Earlier,
Mr. Polizzotto was Director of Development at Viterbo
College, LaCrosse, Wisconsin, in charge of the College's
capital campaign, annual fund, recruitment, public relations,
marketing, government relations, and the Fine Arts Center.
Other positions included serving as Director of College
Relations at the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric
Medicine in Chicago and as Director of Development at
Lewis University. He taught English and Speech at St.
Joseph High School in Westchester, Illinois. Mr. Polizzotto
has a B.A degree in English from St. Mary's College,
Winona, Minnesota, and he completed the Urban Teacher's
Preparation Program at Syracuse University.

Mr. Polizzotto's current and former clients include colleges,
universities, independent schools, dioceses and archdioceses,
churches, religious orders, social service organizations,
hospitals, and other charitable organizations. He provides
counsel in major and planned-gift programs, annual and capital
campaigns, Board development, strategic planning, public relations,
marketing and communications, and the utilization of volunteers.
He facilitates Board retreats and provides training for volunteers
on a wide variety of topics.
He has published articles in the Council for Advancement
and Support of Education's (CASE) Currents magazine
and is a frequent speaker for regional, district, and international
conferences for CASE, Association for Healthcare Philanthropy,
and Association of Fundraising Professionals (formerly National
Society of Fundraising Executives), and Catholic Campus Ministry
Association on topics relating to fund-raising and marketing.
Mr. Polizzotto has been active in various professional organizations,
including CASE, AFP, and AHP. He also serves as an adjunct
faculty member of the Philanthropy and Development master's
program at St. Mary's University of Minnesota in Winona, Minnesota.
Mr. Polizzotto was named "Fundraiser of the Year"
for the NSFRE Upper Mississippi Valley Chapter in 1998.
Additionally, he has served as the Co-Chair, with his wife
Eileen, of the Excellence is Elementary Campaign for the Avery
Coonley School in Downer's Grove, Illinois, and as the CO-Chair
of the Next Step Campaign for St. Mary's University of Minnesota,
Winona, Minnesota. He is a former chair and member of St.
Mary's University of Minnesota's Board of Trustees and a past
President and former member of the National Alumni Board for
St. Mary's. He also served on the congressional selection
committee for the United States Military Academies for the
Third Congressional District in Wisconsin.
